  with what is arguably the biggest change to jw life in recent decades (the scrapping of publishers counting hours) what does this lead to?.

  in my mind these are the results;.

  1) a massive decrease in 'preaching hours'.

  the KHall in the town i live in --a very smart high profile quick build--was sold and is now an animal hospital. Ive asked door steppers in the past--why was it sold--answer--"to pay for more halls in Africa." But i havnt had any door knockers since covid. Even the cart crews seem to have disappeared.

  50 years ago the average publisher to population ratio here was twice the national average--with 5 k halls--now there are 3--as far as i know.

  I have family nearby still in the cult but i have been totally shunned by them for the last 30 odd years. I think most of the other jw's i used to know have either died or moved off the island.

  my opinion--

  council tax ( a UK ) thing is a necessary evil, It is based on property value--which so often is wildly wrong.

  A couple --earning an average income pay 100% of it

  The same couple--with ( say ) 3 adults at home--each earning good money--the cost is the same.

  The same couple--but out of work--on benefits--pay nothing.

  A single occupant--working, pays 75%.

  The council tax replaced the much hated poll tax--which was much fairer!

  i have to pay over £2000 a year in council tax--yet i am on the state pension, i pay no income tax on it, but have some savings--and my wife works.

  in many cases--people working full time pay very little income tax--yet full council tax.

  local income tax would be a much fairer system

  just to give you guys an update on mine and my son’s exit from the matrix.

  my son put on his instagram page he was no longer a jw and wished everyone a merry christmas.

  🎄💥😳the blocks/unfollows came thick and fast.

  I would advise caution. sitting on the fence

  Why make things so difficult that all JWs will shun you?

  Surely it would be better to fade, then you will be loved bombed anytime anyone runs into you. --what a dreadful thought

  this video makes valid points and the last pictures in the video says it all imo...i knew witnesses who wore the logo in their jewelry.

  the sign represents the organization, so the organization is what is really being worshipped instead of god almighty.
